Monochrome vibing:VOURDI x GERALD OKERAFOR in fliq clothing a

Hey there beautiful people! My week has been so stressful running from one class to another, I'm glad I finally have little time to rest before I'm bombarded with mid-semester tests again (I need help somebadaayy!)

Today I'm having my first blogger collaboration with a fellow fashion blogger Gerald of GERALDOKEREAFOR.COM
By now you guys know I'm all about the simple look life and any thing monochrome ,so when I got  a chance to wear an outfit from the fliq SS16 collection I immediately began thinking about the possible combo's in my mind. (A proper review of the fliq brand coming up on my blog soon)

So right to the outfit:
Gerald and I opted for a casual monochrome look, something relaxed. The black and white combo of the material brought the shirts to life  ,sort of subtle but still reaching out to the required audience. A look I'll wear to a semi-formal meeting or school re-Union probably

.

I styled this look with a laid back hair,
minimal accessories (I guess it has to take something as big as the fashion week to get me to wear bold accessories SMH)
The high waist pallazo trouser was the perfect match for this look, I didn't want to look too regular.
Finally my heels which I thought was a bad idea at first but loved it in the end, a match made in heaven.

Head over to Gerald's blog for his own take on the collaboration.

Forgive my manners guys!how do you do? How has your week been? Stressful like mine or really chill?  What do you feel about the outfits yay or nah?

Rocking the print

10:36 Unknown 0 Comments

Hey guys! How have you all been? Back again with another style post..

Today I styled my snake print jumpsuit.
I'm not so big on prints so when I got this one I was skeptical about wearing it  but apparently it fit so well so I thought.. Why not?

This look is one I'll wear to a concert, a family outing or movie
The weather was hot, hence the sunglasses

I'm all about minimal accessories so I went for the basics , earrings and a black chocker.

To complete the look, I wore my back heels for a classy touch up.

Outfit details:
Sunglasses:mui mui
Jumpsuit : moms gift
Heels :Aldo
Chocker:random store

So tell me guys? How would you wear this look?
I'll really love to hear from you!
Till next post!
                    Xx.. Vourdi

Stylish in black

23:29 Unknown 2 Comments

Hey guys  how have you guys been? It's September yay!!! Nine down   Three more to go. I just really want to thank GOD for bringing me this far.

Now to my outfit , ever heard the saying  when in doubt wear black?  Well I have and this saying works just fine for me. I'm particularly down with  this gown because though it's an LBD (little black dress) , the sheer part of this gown makes it particularly unique.

I also like the way the gown was made to give the illusion of a fuller shape

For the shoes  : I'm an ardent monochrome lover so the first thing that popped into my mind were these white pumps to give a perfect contrast to the black gown.

For my bag: I opted to go with my brown cross body bag, I didn't want anything too bulky so as to keep the focus on my gown.

For my accessories: I like to be minimal with them so my black staple chocker  and gold and black star earings did the trick.

 Outfit details:
Gown: mums wardrobe
Shoes:aldo
Cross body bag:Louis Vuitton
Chocker and earrings:mum

Finally I completed this look with  laughter because I have a lot of things to be thankful for most especially the fact that I'm alive to see the month of September.

So tell me guys what do you think about this look? How will you pull it off?
I'll really love to hear from you guys

Till next post guys!
    Xx VOURDI .
